End of Season Plant Rescue

This is the time of year when I rescue “end of season” marked down perennials.

I have rescued ten herbs, ten society garlic plants, 16 perennial dianthus plants, and eight red sage plants, two rock rose plants and three “accent” plants.

Between end of season mark downs and Veteran’s Day sales, I paid an average of $1/plant.

Even though I am planting on the next warm day (I have planted in December and had many plants survive and then thrive), I have moved them all inside since it is going to be frosty tonight.

I have a very (VERY) aromatic dining room, which is really my plant room, tonight.

Since I brushed past the indefatigable lemon balm several times as I brought the plants in, there is a very strong fragrance on my clothes.
